That means increasing penalties for violent offenders and giving law enforcement the resources they need. We must also go after the drug cartels and traffickers flooding our streets with drugs that are killing our children, because every family deserves to feel safe in their home, their neighborhood, and their state.

Policy Priorities:

• Designate fentanyl trafficking as a national emergency and treat cartel activity as terrorism
• Increase federal penalties for violent criminals and drug traffickers
• Provide funding for rural law enforcement recruitment and training
• Oppose “defund the police” efforts and support community-based crime prevention
• Require cooperation between federal, state, and tribal agencies to combat cross-border crime
